Order of Numbers In Multiplication

Order of Numbers:

While multiplying two numbers the order of multiplicand and multiplier does not change the product.

For example if we a plate having an 3 apples and we have 5 such plates, then to find the total number of apples

3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 =  5 X 3 = 15.

We have 15 apples.

Or if we a plate having an 5 apples and we have 3 such plates, then to find the total number of apples

5 + 5 + 5  =  3 X 5 = 15.

We have 15 apples.

So 5 X 3 = 3 X 5 = 15.

Similarly

6 X 4 = 4 X 6 = 24.

Hence

Two numbers multiplied in any order have the same product. Changing the order of the multiplicand and the multiplier does not change the product.
